On a regular basis, Kitchener Economic Development (in conjunction with our municipal partners ) holds an event called the “Solar Innovation Networking Group” (SING). This is a group of approximately 150 people who are involved in the local solar industry. They have varied backgrounds – manufacturers, financiers, developers, parts suppliers, etc. They get together to make connections, discuss ideas and projects and debate the contemporary issues in their industry.
The next SING event will be hosted by the City of Kitchener at “The Marketplace” – on the Upper Level of The Kitchener Market, right after work on Tuesday, March 6th from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm. There will be a short presentation from Mr. Alex Merrick of the Ontario Power Authority who will provide an update on the progress of OPA FIT (Feed in Tariff) Program review. The balance of the time will be used by SING members for Networking.
