Industrial Waste Speed Dating – March 22nd

How is that for a title? Here are the details:

Tell us what your waste is – and we’ll find it someone to go home with! Participants will work together to identify new relationships for their waste, because landfills can be lonely places!

The Industrial Waste Speed Dating session will help your company reduce costs and waste by identifying potential waste exchanges with other companies in the Pearson Eco-Business Zone.  This session is about turning unwanted waste into resources by finding new partners for those lonely by-products.  If you’re looking for a feedstock, or have a waste that you know should have a better home, attend this session to help turn your first waste date into a long-term relationship.

You will:

  • Learn about waste exchanges and the benefits/opportunities they offer
  • See local examples of waste exchanges in action
  • Work together to identify matches for fellow participants, and in the process have others work to indentify solutions for you
  • Learn about other alternative solutions for waste streams

In order to get the most out of this session, you will be asked to fill out a number of questions as part of the registration process. The link will be sent to you after registration, or you can access it here. These questions include:

  • Type of waste you have available, or are looking to obtain
  • Estimated quantity
  • Quality of material(s)

Please have this information with you when registering.
