Game Changing Products

There are things companies can do to improve their environmental performance, such as increasing energy efficiency, reducing hazardous waste and lowering water consumption. Then there are companies that produce GAME CHANGING products, all of which I am a big fan of, and now a customer of two of them.

1)      Dyson hand dryers are fantastic – they make a statement, and a far from the traditional commercial hand drying equipment. Find out more at http://www.english.dysoncanada.ca/dryers/.

2)      Lee Scott of Wal-Mart recently told his suppliers that he didn’t want to pay for shipping water…makes no sense. Planet People, a small company located in Mississauga, have taken that message to heart. They manufacture a range of domestic cleaning products such as window and all-purpose cleaner. What’s the catch? You buy the full bottle once then keep using the same bottle over and over again by simply adding the cleaning agent from a small cartridge to tap water to refill. No more plastic at the curb and the cleaners are green. Find out more at http://www.iqclean.com/.

3)      On a similar note as IQ Clean, check out http://www.sodastream.ca/ – a kit for making your own pop (in Canada, soda in the U.S.). One less blue box at the curb!

The big picture – what can you do with your products or services that bring game changing environmental performance to your customers?
