You may want your website to be a good representation of your products, but did you strive for a GREAT representation your business? Your website must catch the eye of someone who is unfamiliar with your business. Just like the tale of the Three Pigs your solid based website may take a lot more effort, but in the long run you will outlast the quick setup ones.
Where Did We Go Right?
Too many times businesses look back and ponder the question where did we go wrong? How many times do they focus in on what they did right? Wouldn’t you rather concentrate on your successes? That is how you take an idea and build on it, and in the manufacturing industry it’s all about building! That is the approach The Sign Depot took when creating our online presence. We took where we went right and built on it.
Start With A Solid Base
You may want your website to be a good representation of your products, but did you strive for a GREAT representation your business? Your website must catch the eye of someone who is unfamiliar with your business. Just like the tale of the Three Pigs your solid based website may take a lot more effort, but in the long run you will outlast the quick setup ones.
Add Your Own Flare
This is where your blog comes into play. Remember the scene in Office Space where Jennifer Anniston was reemed out for just adding the minimum requirement of flare?
Is that where your blog is sitting? Are you just at the bare minimum or are you adding that extra pizzazz? Make sure you are keeping your readers interested by making your blog out sparkle the competition. There are many ways to do that. Pictures, video, and fun facts bring your potential clients into your ”world” and create a sense that they belong there too. Think of it as giving your product a flashy paint job.
Package It Up And Ship It Off To The Consumer
This is where your social networks come into play. No one will know that you have updated your blog if you haven’t told them, but there is a right way to tell them too. Explain why they should go read the post. Chances are you’ve watched the trailer of the movie you’re about to see. Use your twitter and facebook to let your readers have a preview of what they are about to spend their valuable time on. Keep in mind that if the trailer is dull, no one is going to check out the movie.
How Is Your Return Policy?
Is your customer completely satisfied? If so you will have them turn to you as a constant source of information and they will highly recommend your product. Make sure you listen to your consumers. Engage with them. If they have a concern, address it. No one wants to be put on the back burner and dealt with at a later date. That is a bad return policy. Instead make sure they know just how important they are to your company.
How do we know this is where we went right? We were told so. If the experts are taking notice, then the clients won’t be too far behind.
Where do you excel online? Is that a great representation of your solid base or could it use some re-modeling?
